Sweet-zerland
Welcome to Switzerland. More specifically, Zurich and Lucerne, two perfectly harmless universes comprising of handsome mountains, sapphire skies, and cement-white oxygen.
Despite its affluent reputation as the financial capitol of the world, this European lakeside city is one of the most pleasant and peaceful cities I’ve ever been to. It is relatively small and compact in its core, with plenty of suburbs stretching all over the region. Buses and trains were always on time and everyone walked with a quiet sense of purpose. However, finding affordable food in this city proves to be challenge. The prices for meals are exorbitant – $20 swiss franc for a plate of fried rice! (the locals are often made fun of because of being "zu reich", i.e. "too rich"). Expensive it may be, the payback comes when you spend time roaming. This is a surprisingly jovial city, with an engaging mix of areas and boundless creativity.
Unfortunately, we only spent 3 days here and had little time to explore all the hidden gems the city offers. Nevertheless, we were able to take a stroll around the historic attractions of Zurich and Lucerne.
Here are some of my favorite frames during my stay here. Enjoy!
