Melbourne
It's no surprise why this vibrant, multicultural metropolis has been voted the world’s most liveable city for the past three years. Melbourne is the most European of Australian cities, evident in the city’s diverse population, infrastructure and urban design. Walking around, you can sense its energy, dynamism and creative atmosphere. But it’s also a very laidback city which manages to be dynamic without being hectic. What I love heaps about Melbourne is how the Melburnians have turned coffee making into an art form that borders on an obsession; explaining the countless number of independent coffee houses in the city - each offering an experience of its own. To all my fellow caffeine-addicts, I think I have found heaven on earth.
And of course, my experience in Melbourne won't be complete without the company of two of the most beautiful people/couple/friends in Melbourne - Rachel and Marcus. Thank you so much for opening up your house to me, and for making me feel so at home the entire time. Thank you Rachel for drawing up a map of the city for me and for introducing to me all the best hidden spots in Melbourne - though I know I have barely experienced or seen the full splendour of Melbourne yet. I think it will take several trips to really see it all. I will be back soon.
